We think it's very fun, enjoy in this camp. We love Graham, Anna, A, John and Shin. We work very hard but we have to learn many things, new words, to protect the environment and we have new friends. We have a new experiences for speak English with staffs. We don't want to go from this camp and everyone we hope to see all of you again. And the last one we VERY love Karaoke!

In the present we will see that the world is growing up very fast. In the big cities we have improved technology and industry. This process has created one type of industry and sometimes causes lots of problems.
Many of these problems, including environmental problems start from the planning of a new project. Thai business people don't have any idea on protecting the environment. So we need to think about these problems and start to protect the environment from the beginning of a project.
These problems we found in our survey of the hotel kitchen. Many of the problems are because of the planning. We found that the kitchen floor sometimes had dirt and oil.
All of the waste water in the hotel comes together and goes out one pipe. This then goes to the waste treatment system. And this causes problems to the workers at the hotel because of the bad smell.
As our report shows the hotel causes many problems because people did not think about the problem at first, or they don't know about the problem that they have caused.

3) Do you check the cooling machine (air conditioner) that they are free of diseases?

Our presentation is about 'How to Organize and Clean Up Management'. For two days we searched for information on interesting topics on how to organize and clean up the management.
1) When buying or making something do you consider the least environmental impact over the entire life cycle?
2) When buying or making something do you consider how the product will be disposed of, recycled or reused?
3) Can you give enough information to the staff on how to save the environment?
4) The staff does not have a good system. How to organize the staff and help each other to save the environment?
Cause of the problem
Number 1. Their staff have not enough information. How to use resources on the most useful way and aware that it will not effect the environment.
Number 2 In the past the Ploy Palace had a good project to save the environment. For example: The Ploy Palace has land at the Manorom Resort. There they had a project to grow vegetables with no chemicals for the Ploy Palace kitchen. They took the food from the kitchen at the Ploy Palace to feed to pigs and divide vegetables to make fertilizer for the vegetables. It didn't work because their staff didn't organize this project and they have no money to support the project.
Number 3 Some of the products made of chemical things such as spray, soap shampoo, etc. After use and thrown away maybe make pollution to the environment.
Number 4 Maintenance they have not enough staff. Cause of the effect of the economic slowdown. So the hotel laid off the employees and it doesn't balance to their work, so the office isn't clean and organized.
Solution to these problems:
1) The hotel must give more information to the staff and make them more aware of how to save the environment.
2) The government must also help the hotel to solve the environmental problems. For example they must have an officer who is responsible to give the hotel information and knowledge or make research for the hotel about how to save the environment. This means the government and the hotel must organize and help each other to solve this problem.
3) They should change their product from chemical to organic products.
4) The office should be cleaned and organized as it will be easier to find things and maintain.
Conclusion
Researching this project makes us understand that people should live in balance with the environment. People should use less resources and more useful. For example, treatment water after use, save water as much as you can.
People destroy resources and environment. Maybe things that we destroy will reflect on people. We can stop destroying the environment today by beginning with ourselves. In the future, then we will have enough good resources.

We are going to talk about the personnel department because it is a big part of the hotel and they do not know about the environment. We want the personnel department to realize the importance of the development of the hotel has to the environment.
If the personnel know of the value of nature they will protect it.
We would like to show you four problems that we have seen and give some suggestions.
First, the personnel hasn't got enough knowledge about the environment and they don't care about the environmental impact. We think that the Ploy Palace Hotel should invite professionals about the environment to advise and train how to make the hotel more efficient and protect the environment. For example if you send waste water to the river it will make water pollution, strong smell and maybe you will make the animals in the river die.
Second, there is not good organization. For example the place where the rice is kept should not be under the stairs. It should be in a good container. Rules should be stricter.
Third, the hotel uses a lot of electricity and water. The hotel should try to spend less on electricity in winter by turning down the coolers. There should be stickers to advise the guests to go up and down the stairs for one or two floors. There should also be a water treatment plant.
Fourth, the quality of the materials used in the hotel can't protect the environment, for example the shampoo, soaps, etc.
Finally, our group will try to think how to solve the problem. We have many suggestions for you but it isn't successful if you don't start to do it.
Please start with the small points, or start with the things that you are ready to do to protect the environment. This will help our children and grandchildren.
We admire you to let us have a chance to survey your hotel and to suggest to you about the problems. It means you are a great man for protecting the environment. I hope Mukdaharn, your hometown will be without pollution in the future.

The problem is there are many bottle tops were being thrown away in the Budsaracome room, Karaoke room, Fitness room, and Barber area.
1) Why is it important to think about the bottle tops?
Because it's wasteful to throw them away. If they aren't being reused now the material will not be available in the future. We produced a lot of them when we throw a lot away the waste hurts the environment. This kind ot waste can not be used for compost but we can reuse the metal material in the bottle rings. Hospital all over Thailand should do promotion to the people to donate these bottle rings to make fake legs for disabled people.
2) How can you solve the problem?
We would like to suggest the five steps for sustainability:
- the hotel should give more basic knowledge to the employees about the way to sustain the business and environment.
- the bottle tops should be organized in their specific area. It will be easy to get and help protect the environment.
- do more with less with these bottle tops. They are produced from two kinds of materials. 1) Aluminum: they can be recycled to make equipment for disabled people 2) Steel: they can be reused as musical equipment, shoe cleaning equipment and artificial flowers.
- Look at the big picture. The hotel should buy bottle products which have caps designed to be recycled or reused and help the environment.
- Be generous. The hotel should contact other organizations to co-operate with each other. Such as hospitals to donate the bottle tops to them and they can recycle the bottle caps to produce the equipment for their patients.
Conclusion
We would like to invite the people whom are concerned with these, should be aware of the small things like the bottle tops. Because they can cause big problems to you in the future.

Problem
When we walked around and interviewed the employees in the Ploy Palace Hotel, we found many problems. An interesting think is that the hotel doesn't have a recycle system for example papers, plastic, glass bottles. The hotel told us, they throw garbage away to the municipal dump. The municipal officer brings many garbage from the hotel and then doesn't do anything, just puts it into the ground. Some of the garbage can compost in a short time, but some takes a long time. When it was raining, the chemicals in the garbage goes to the river, it hurts the river and all the living things. This problem is the problem for everybody. When you return to look at it you can find the garbage come from everywhere. Garbage will come back to hurt all of you.
You can make waste into something useful. Somebody may look over something. It's useful or they need to change it. It may help us save money too. And it can reduce the pollution. At the same time it can make you be more sustainable.
I found a problem. I think the problem is about waste which you don't use. The employees don't know how they can make it more valuable after it is used. When I asked officers about recycling, I got the same answer that they know about recycling the waste and told me the example about recycling. But when I asked them why they don't recycle? I got the same answer they don't have free time.
Sometimes the hotel reuses such as the shampoo bottles. The hotel washes and refills them when they clean the bathrooms. But we think it is necessary to have a new department about recycling. Their deputy is to separate the waste and choose the material which they think they can recycle. The manager of the Ploy Palace Hotel could invite others to make a cluster who can work together about the environment. Also the management needs to instruct the employees about the environment. Then your employees can have knowledge about how to stop pollution in this hotel, in their family, in our city, in our county and in our world.
When the things around you are perfect your environment is perfect, too. When small society such as family know how to use resources, so big society such as the world will know, too. If you what to have a good world everybody must help together from today and forever. Last, I hope after this project everybody here can help the environment be clean and safe for everybody.

The Ploy Palace uses a lot of water each day. In summer we don't have enough water. Therefore, we must look for a way to solve this problem. When the housekeepers clean the toilets, bedrooms, lobby and use the laundry to wash clothes they must use water. In this work we must try to save water more. When they clean they must think about the water. To help raise awareness about water there should be training on water and how it can be reused. They could use waste waster in another way, such as for plants, wash cars, flush toilets and so on.
Water is the most important for our life. Since we're born ion this world, we are using water for bath, drinking, cleaning or watering plants. Everyone using water, but we don't think of awareness for the impact to environment by ourselves. We made a lot of water pollution over the world. Although our world has more water that land about 75%. But it has 3% fresh water and its in ice in the North and South Poles. So we just have 1% fresh water to use. Anyway we have the problem is consuming water or using water on right way.
Yesterday our group examined department of Ploy Palace such as rooms, laundry and public areas. We found the same problem from each of these. This problem is consuming water or using water. So we have 3 ways to solve this problem.
The first is motivation. Giving some knowledge to all staff about the environment to decrees waste water. There should be training at least 3 times by trainers by naturalists for advice.
We think the Ploy Palace should also co-operate with hotels in Mukdaharn to improve waste water organization and to save money.
How to make all waste water to become fresh water again. That's the best way to consume all of water and then we can treat water. For example you may take water from bath to water some plants outside the hotel. Although this reuse is just a little but it's better than we don't do anything.
Water is important resource it is our water so when you use water you must think about the water for your grandchildren.

Waste water is water from the kitchen, toilet, laundry and anywhere. We need. We need to clean water for reuse about other work benefit. This hotel is having a problem about water treatment because they don't reuse the water.
They can't reuse the water because the water is not clean enough to reuse and they drain water to the canals. The hotel can't reuse the water and we think about it, the hotel should have the system of water treatment for reuse the water no less such as, to bring water to water the tress to wash dishes to clean toilet to wash cars, etc. So it helps to save resources and save money for the hotel.
After treatment at the Ploy Palace Hotel, the water goes to the civil canal. It's not recycled and isn't sustainable.
All though this process makes the water clean, it still contains chemicals. When the waste water go to the canal has impact ion human and animal life. For example, it pollutes the water, affects the fish and then what we eat may be very dangerous for us. If the water is polluted, we cannot use it for other benefits. In Mukdaharn, tourism is important. The Ploy Palace Hotel is the place for guests to stay. If visitors see a bad environment they will not want to come to Mukdaharn again. As a result income for the hotel will decrease.

Thank You Speech from the Students Good Afternoon ladies and gentlemen
We students have learned what we should learn. Many ideas that we have learned. We have asked and found many problems. The hotel gave us the useful knowledge, the clean bedrooms, delicious food, and perfect air-conditioning. We know that the hotel gave us organized like food, drink in the bedroom and many else organized. Is it because you are a kind person? Yes, I, we, know what you have done for us, and the great knowledge you have given. The Mukdaharn High School students thank you, Mr. Rawat and all the hotel's staff!
