Ways to Eliminate Amphetamine

Regarding the article "Tip of the Drug Scourge"[The Bangkok Post, September 7 ]
I am so amazing in the Office of Narcotic Control Board(ONCB) records about amphetamine addicts in Thailand. We have long suffered from this problem.

The primary source of amphetamine in Thailand is from the golden triangle. The police are able to confiscate over one million amphetamine pills at Mae Lao district, Chiengrai. And they also have arrested several drug smugglers and confiscated 600,000 amphetamine pills at Maung district, Payao.

Nearly half of amphetamine addicts are students therefore drug testing for students may soon be replicated in the schools and university of Thailand.

Actually, we should step up suppression, probably in more varied patterns, and emphasize attacks on large-scale production sources. Policy and law on related issue should also be revised.

I do not understand why a lot of amphetamines still have in Thailand. Is it because of Thai laws or corrupt polices?
