Abstract:
Youth
today have opportunities to participate in the emergence
of a Global Civil Society (GCS). Yet, will the
participation be meaningful? Will it assist youth to
become global citizens and create a sustainable future?
To assist, education must give the skills to ensure
meaningful participation. This section will therefore
combine pedagogy for communicative competence, action
competence, and critical thinking skills and place them
in the Education for Sustainability context through high
school community-based, sustainable development /
business projects.
